Down for the Count Jazz Band

Playing anything from ballads and blues to up-beat swing numbers, our Jazz Band is the perfect way to enhance the atmosphere of any event.

With a huge repertoire of jazz 'standards', a small Jazz Band creates a unique and sophisticated backdrop to a meal or drinks reception.

The Jazz Band is available in various combinations to suit any event - just a few of the options are listed below.

The standard trio of piano, bass and drums is perfect for most events, and can be augmented with saxophone, trumpet or vocals in any combination. With four or five players, the band is also able to perform a short dancing set of Rat Pack and swing classics towards the end of the evening.

Jazz Duo

Adding a vocalist or saxophonist to the cocktail piano option gives the music more presence, and is a great option for music during dinner.

Jazz Trio & Quartet

Augment the standard trio of piano, bass and drums with your choice of trumpet, saxophone and vocals. The trio and quartet are both extremely versatile and perform a large range of music, choosing songs to match the atmosphere of your event.

Jazz Quartet - On The Street Where You Live

Jazz Quintet & Sextet

Our most versatile jazz band line-ups are the quintet and sextet - add your choice of trumpet and/or saxophone to the standard quartet line-up of piano, bass, drums and vocals. In addition to performing background music throughout the evening, the quintet and sextet can play a short dancing set towards the end of the evening.
